Qasr al Farid The Ancient tomb

Qasr al Farid (meaning lonely castle) is the biggest tomb in the Archeological site of Mada’in Saleh located in present day Saudi Arabia. It was built by the Nabataean kingdom which was later conqured by the Roman empire. The tomb is fantastic and is carved out of a single rock, with lavish and precise carvings. I always love old ancient buildings especially the tombs because often times they are of the highest detail and show the best of the civilizations architecture.
